Breast Augmentation(Boob job)
Breast augmentation (also called augmentation mammoplasty) is a common surgery that increases breast size and improves shape using implants or fat transfer. Many people choose it to restore volume after pregnancy or weight loss, correct asymmetry, or simply feel more confident in their body.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING SURGERY?
- •Implants: Silicone gel implants are placed either under the breast tissue or partially under the chest muscle.
- •Fat transfer: Your own fat is liposuctioned from another area (like the abdomen or thighs), purified, and injected into the breasts for a modest size increase., fat transfer usually takes more than one sitting to acheive desired results since some amount of fat usually gets absorbed by the body post surgery.
- •The procedure usually takes 1–2 hours under general anesthesia.
RECOVERY
Recovery varies, but a typical timeline looks like this:
- •Days 1–3: Swelling, tightness, and soreness are normal; pain is usually most noticeable in the first 24–48 hours.
- •Week 1: Many people return to desk work within 7–10 days if their job isn’t physically demanding.
- •Weeks 2–4: Swelling and bruising fade; implants begin to “drop and fluff” into a more natural position.
- •Weeks 4–6: Most daily activities and light exercise are okay once your surgeon clears you.
- •Months 3–6: Final shape, softness, and scar maturation continue to improve.
Helpful recovery tips include wearing your surgical/support bra as directed, sleeping on your back with your upper body elevated, walking daily to improve circulation, and avoiding heavy lifting or strenuous upper-body exercise until cleared.
