03/Recovery Timeline

THE RECOVERY PERIOD

Following surgery, temporary swelling, bruising, congestion, tenderness, and mild discomfort are common. A nasal splint or internal support may be used during the early healing period. Most visible swelling improves within several weeks, although the final nasal contour may continue to refine for up to one year.

04/Risks and Complications

RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS

As with any operation, rhinoplasty carries potential risks, including bleeding, infection, anaesthetic complications, scarring, altered sensation, prolonged swelling, changes in the sense of smell, persistent breathing difficulty, septal perforation, asymmetry, or dissatisfaction with the result. Additional surgery may occasionally be required.

05/Important Psychological Perspective

“This procedure in particular should be a well informed decision, correcting your nose and making it better is possible , giving you a nose like someone else is not a possible task. This procedure could make you look entirely different when u see yourself. While gazing the mirror post surgery you might need sometime to start feeling like yourself since the nose you have been viewing in the mirror all your life would be different after the procedure.”
